Delete your identity

Torric, the app by Prastavna, has no email or password. Your account is an identity: a key on your phone, with a handle on top. Deleting it erases it from every device, for good.

From the app

  1. Open Torric and go to Account (from the Social tab).
  2. Scroll to Delete identity and tap it.
  3. Type delete to confirm.

Any of your identity’s devices can do it. You don’t need the recovery phrase. Your other devices sign out the next time they check in.

Without the app

If Torric isn’t on any of your phones but you still have your recovery phrase, install Torric on any phone, go to Account → I have a recovery phrase, type it in, and delete the identity from there.

If you have neither the app nor the phrase, write to contact@torric.app with your @handle. Since the identity has no email or password, we’ll ask you to show it’s yours before we delete it; if nobody can, we can’t act on the request, or anyone could delete anyone. Never send us your recovery phrase.

What’s deleted

Your handle, bio and profile, your devices’ names, your posts, likes, reposts and follows, your playlists, your sharing totals and your signed records. Your uploads leave the catalog and search, and their details are erased. Mirrors of the catalog are told to drop your records.

What’s kept, and for how long

  • Your handle stays reserved for 30 days, so nobody can pose as you, then it’s free.
  • Public keys: the identity’s and its devices’, with their dates, marked deleted, so they can’t be used again. Your recovery phrase stops working.
  • Each upload’s info hash (a fingerprint, not the audio or its details), so our tracker keeps refusing it.
  • Reports you sent, and moderators’ decisions.
  • Tracks you added to a group’s playlists stay with the group.
  • Request logs at Cloudflare, with IP addresses, are gone within a few days.

Music other people already saved on their phones is theirs, and stays there. Music in your own library stays on your phone until you uninstall Torric.

Without an identity

If you only listened and never made an identity, nothing about you is kept on our servers. Uninstalling Torric removes everything it kept on your phone.
